Amir Wain

Amir Wain is a serial entrepreneur and a recognized pioneer in the prepaid and stored-value industry. Born in Pakistan, he came to the United States to study computer science and engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington, and founded the software firm Innovative Private Limited in 1987, leading the global launch of its FastCash transaction-processing platform. He went on to found i2c in 2001 with the vision of modernizing financial technology; today i2c is a global banking and payments company whose proprietary “building block” technology offers virtually limitless opportunities to create and scale differentiated products, and under his leadership the firm has introduced a number of industry firsts, including card-linked offers and event-driven account-holder communications. Beyond i2c, he serves as chairman of the board at numerous startups, including the AI-powered sales and marketing platform xIQ, and is a limited partner in venture funds focused on B2B companies leveraging AI and machine learning. He also chairs the Wain Foundation, focused on health and well-being, education, and clean water and sanitation.
